A. You can follow these 3 simple steps below to estimate your social security benefits at age 62, your full retirement age (67) and age 70.
1. Go to SSA.Gov
Click the Retirement Estimator block at the middle of the screen. It will give you an estimate your social security benefits. Note, you must not be currently receiving social security benefits or waiting for your application to be processed, nor can you be 62 or older and receiving benefits on another person's record.
2. Fill up Information
Type in your name, birthday, birth state and country information, followed by your last year's wages or net self-employment income. Hit "Submit" and the Retirement Estimator tool will do the calculation for you.
3. See the 3 Numbers
You will be presented with 3 benefits numbers:
a. Benefit income at age 62, the first year you can claim the social security benefits
b. Benefit income at full retirement age 67
c. Benefit income at age 70, the year you will get the maximum benefits
